Rising star Liam Hemsworth is Australian, which is why, since moving to the United States, he's been experiencing some quintessentially American things.
In the March issue of Details, the budding superstar -- who plays Gale in "The Hunger Games," discussed his introduction to the best the USA has to offer. First up, Cracker Barrel: "I'd never heard of country-fried steak before. It's great! I love fried food," the 22-year-old actor exclaimed. (He was introduced to the iconic highway restaurant by his girlfriend Miley Cyrus.)
Next on the list, White Castle: "In Australia, we used to always watch 'Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.' I didn't know it was a real place. Epic."
Unfortunately, Liam wasn't as big of a fan.
"The movie was better than the burgers ... We might have thrown up after."
Last but not least, squirrels. Yes, squirrels. "We don't have squirrels in Australia. The first time I saw a squirrel was at a meeting at Disney. I was like, 'What the fuck?!'"
You can read more about Hemsworth's adventures in America over on Details. His next film, "The Hunger Games," hits theaters March 23.
