Who in their right mind would take "The Great Gatsby" and turn it into a 3-D spectacular set to modern-day music by artists like Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Florence Welch? Baz Luhrmann, that's who. Twists on literary classics like these have become the Australian director's calling card. He did it in 1996 with "Romeo + Juliet," in 2001 with "Moulin Rouge" (inspired by Greek tragedy "Orpheus and Eurydice"), and now he's at it again with his lavish re-imagining of F. Scott Fitzgerald's tale of wealth, excess, and doomed love in 1920s Long Island. So, naturally, we began to think about (more like dream about) what classic novels or literary works we would love to see Luhrmann-ized next. Then we took it a step further and fantasized about what some of Baz's unique touches could be. We're doing the work for you, Baz, so let's make it happen!
