After a busy year for her Oscar-winning husband, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner is ready to get to work. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 41-year-old actress is in talks to join Steve Carell in an adaptation of the popular children's book “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.” Miguel Arteta will direct the story of a boy who has the worst day -- he wakes up with gum in his hair, finds out he has a cavity, and has to eat lima beans for dinner. Garner would play Alexander's mother, with Carell as his father. Garner has been busily filling her schedule; she's also set to appear alongside Kevin Costner in “Draft Day.” The actress hasn't worked as much in recent years due to her expanding family. “I definitely work less because Ben is so busy but we have three kids, that's just part of the deal,” she told The Telegraph. But now that Affleck is taking some time off after his movie, “Argo,” triumphed at the Oscars, it's mom's turn! “Ben's always saying, ‘You need to work, it's a part of you and you're a different person when you're working,'” she said. “I've reserved this summer [for work]. It's mine.” [via THR]
