Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges are a new breed of ghostbuster in the trailer for "R.I.P.D."
The duo plays dead cops who are partnered up in the "Rest in Peace Department," an afterlife organization dedicated to tracking down souls who've managed to escape judgement and live in secret among the living. The trailer shows Reynolds as a cop (killed in the line of duty) who is quickly recruited by the undead police force. He is paired up with a lawman from the Wild West who teaches him the ropes of soul wrangling.
The movie is an adaptation of the Dark Horse comic of the same name and is directed by Robert Schwentke ("Red"). "R.I.P.D." hits theaters July 19.
