No, it was no illusion, "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin last Friday, March 8.
Stars Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, and Olivia Wilde stepped out for the premiere, and, frankly, looked overjoyed to be there. The trio smiled and laughed together on the red carpet and on-stage while addressing the crowd. We're guessing Jim Carrey had something to do with it. From the photos, you can see the actor using his signature, rubber-faced comedy to make the crowd -- and his co-stars -- crack up.
The comedy features Carell as a struggling Las Vegas magician, Burt Wonderstone, and Carrey as daring illusionist Steve Gray (think Criss Angel or David Blaine), who threatens Burt's livelihood. To regain his top spot on the strip, Wonderstone has to do his best to out dazzle Gray.
Sound cheesy? Well, so is Vegas.
