Moviefone's Pick of the Week (For Adults)
"The Descendants"
What's It About? George Clooney stars as Matt King, a Hawaii-based lawyer struggling to raise his two daughters after his wife falls into a coma; compounding the matter is how he will deal with the news that his wife was having an affair when she had her accident.
See It Because: If you're a fan of Alexander Payne's previous work ("Election," "Sideaways") then you'll enjoy this funny and heartfelt character piece. Plus you know, Hawaii always makes for a pretty background.

Moviefone's Pick of the Week (For Kids)
"The Adventures of Tintin"
What's It About? The intrepid boy reporter (and his dog Snowy) get caught up with a high-seas mystery involving lost treasure, pirate thieves... and murder!
See It Because: Steven Spielberg's adaptation of the beloved Belgian comic didn't catch on with American audiences on the first go-around and that's a shame because the movie is funny, exciting and visually wonderful. The adventure scenes outdo anything from "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and this is every 12-year-old boy's favorite movie of the year -- even if they don't know it yet.

"Happy Feet Two"
The sequel to the Oscar-winning penguin tale got bogged down in obnoxious political pundit rhetoric -- simply for being willing to admit that climate change is already a very big problem in the Arctic. The movie's song-and-dance routines are as infectious and clever as the first time, and the computer animation is just gorgeous.

"Young Adult"
Charlize Theron proves her Oscar win was no fluke in a great performance as an alcoholic former high school queen that returns to her home town to win the heart of an old flame that wants nothing to do with her. The witty character piece is the heavily-anticipated second project from the creative team behind "Juno."
