Just because Jason Segel won't be starring in or writing the next "Muppets" movie doesn't mean Kermit and the gang have lost their sense of humor.
In line with current "Muppets" tradition, Disney has just released a trailer for the "Muppets" DVD -- out March 20 -- where the crew spoofs the highly anticipated "Hunger Games" movie.
If you're keeping count, this is the sixth parody from the Muppets, who, to promote their film last year, poked fun at "Twilight," "Green Lantern," "The Hangover Part II," "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and "Paranormal Activity 3."
So what does "The Muppets" have to do with "Hunger Games," a story set in a dystopian society where a group of kids are forced to fight to the death? Nothing, really -- but Kermit, Miss Piggy and Gonzo somehow make it work out.
Next up for "The Muppets," perhaps an "Avengers" spoof for the special edition DVD?
