Thwarting adages, Rose Byrne has made the transition from Bridesmaid to bride. At least on film.
The actress is looking to lend her Hellenistic (get it?) comedic prowess to the upcoming romcom, "I Give It a Year." Bryne would join Rafe Spall and Simon Baker; "What's Your Number" star Anna Faris is also eying the project.
"Bruno" scribe, Dan Mazer, is writing and directing the film, which narrates the tumultuous first year of an ill-suited couple (Byrne and Spall). Faris and Baker are set to play "strong supporting characters." (Hoping for a Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby to their Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.)
Both Byrne and Faris have had busy 2011's and it seems they're not stopping anytime soon. Faris is staring in the upcoming Sascha Baron Cohen comedy "The Dictator" and Byrne will play Bradley Cooper's better half in Derek Cianfrance's ("Blue Valentine") drama, "The Place Beyond the Pines."
If the Aussie actress keeps this up, she'll be in need of her own drinking game.
