This year, Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. However, the film's two young stars, Asa Butterfield and Chloe Moretz, received no such recognition.
Despite the snubs for "Hugo," there have been plenty of child actors and actresses over the years who've made the Oscar cut. From 10-year-old nominee Abigail Breslin for her role in 2006's "Little Miss Sunshine" to 11-year-old winner Anna Paquin for 1993's "The Piano," sometimes Hollywood's next generation of stars will get recognized for their early achievements.
