In case you forgot how popular "Twilight" is, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that first weekend sales for the "Breaking Dawn Part 1" DVD sit at an estimated 3.2 million. That number pushes the penultimate chapter in the "Twilight" franchise past the 2.6 million first weekend sales for "Eclipse," but short of the 4 million sold of "New Moon" -- the second movie in the vampire series. In addition to hard copies, "Breaking Dawn, Part 1" also sold 50,000 digital versions of the film and was rented more than 80,000 times on video-on-demand. These numbers are a stark reminder of "Twilight" popularity -- especially to theater owners, who will be forced to rent security barriers for the thousands of Twi-hards set to descend on their establishments when "Breaking Dawn Part 2" hits theaters Nov. 16.
