With one day until the release of the action-packed beauty of "Haywire," its stars are coming out to confirm what you already know: that Gina Carano, an MMA fighter-turned-actress, is much tougher than they are.
In the new film from director Steven Soderbergh, Carano plays a betrayed agent who's out for head-slamming revenge; she joins the testosterone-heavy cast of Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Banderas, Bill Paxton, Michael Douglas and Michael Angarano.
While the don't-look-at-the-vase Fassbender blunder has been leading the way in terms of on-set injuries, another star has joined the wounded list: Ewan McGregor.
"The only time I got hurt was when I punched Gina Carano in the head by accident," McGregor told E! Online's Marc Malkin.
"I had a series of three punches, but the third one...for one reason or another I connected really hard on the side of her head," McGregor said. "She was the one who got straight up and said, 'Are you OK?' She was asking me if I was OK! But she was right because I almost broke my friggin' hand!"
Carano, of course, knows how to take a hit. He laughed, "She was absolutely fine."
"Haywire" hits theaters January 20.
