Apparently, "Guardians of the Galaxy" producers see a Patty Hewes-type high up in Nova Corp. And why not cast Patty Hewes herself, "Damages" star Glenn Close?!
According to Deadline, Marvel Studios is very close to nabbing Close for a leadership role at Nova Corp, the intergalactic police force at the heart of "Guardians of the Galaxy" (think "The Avengers'" S.H.I.E.L.D., but in space) for their upcoming summer 2014 cure-to-be-huge release. No other character (or story) details have been released.
As Deadline points out, production is just a month away, and Close would be joining a cast that already includes Zoe Saldana (as Gamora), Chris Pratt (as Star-Lord), and Lee Pace (as The Controller).
The James Gunn-directed "Guardians of the Galaxy" is slated to hit theaters August 1, 2014.
