Sci-fi movies require a lot of research, attention to detail, and almost flawless story lines in order for an audience to let go and believe what they are seeing is real. After all, isn't that the point of any movie? And yes, for the most part, the sci-fi movies we love, like "Star Wars," Star Trek," and "Alien" succeed in transporting us to other worlds -- but sometimes, minor details are overlooked, and, later, the Internet turns them into noticeable blunders.
