If you haven't watched all of those classic movies in your Netflix Instant queue, well, you're out of luck.
Netflix is dropping nearly 2,000 flicks from its on-demand offerings, which is pretty annoying for those of us who have DVD-free accounts. (Those movies will still be available on DVD and Blu-ray, where applicable.)
If you search for Netflix Instant on Google, you'll find a host of stories about the changes in store for users, including some possible tweaks to the interface. Not everyone will be privy to the new interfaces Netflix is trying out, but you can find some screenshots available. Slate's Sam Adams illustrated what his looks like, a list of some sort that replaces his queue. A Netflix spokesperson emailed Adams to let him know that members can request their beloved queues back, if they're seeing the list option instead.
Plenty of the expired movies are from MGM, Viacom, Universal, and Warner Bros. (You can check the list of expired movies here.) WB has just launched its own streaming service, the Warner Instant Archive, which costs fans only $9.99 a month.
Are you thinking of ditching Netflix over this latest change, or are you pleased with the thousands of other movies available on demand? Or better yet, the new season of "Arrested Development"?
