“Girls” star Allison Williams is wasting no time in making the transition from small to big screen, signing on to star in her first feature and fueling speculation she's about to join the Marvel universe. Williams, the daughter of NBC newscaster Brian Williams, was just cast as the title character in “Rosaline,” a take on the classic “Romeo and Juliet” tale. The story centers on the niece of a Capulet who catches Romeo's eye, only to be replaced by Juliet. But the bigger news is that according to Deadline, Williams is up for a part in the soon-to-be-rebooted “Fantastic Four,” presumably playing the role of Sue Storm. While Deadline says the deal is “in the very early talking stage,” it would be a big coup for Williams, who until now was known only for her famous father and her HBO gig. The “Fantastic” reboot is being prepped for a 2015 release, with “Chronicle” director Josh Trank on board to direct. Newbie scribe Jeremy Slater has already finished a draft, and Seth Grahame-Smith (“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter”) has signed on to do rewrites. [via Deadline and CinemaBlend]
