Rebel Wilson has already conquered the comedy world, and as we saw with her promo for her upcoming gig hosting the MTV Movie Awards, she's ready for some action. Could a role in “The Hunger Games” be next? That's what Wilson told Buzzfeed in a recent interview. When the subject of Jennifer Lawrence came up, Wilson gushed about the woman who plays “Hunger Games” protagonist Katniss Everdeen, calling Lawrence both sexy and nice. Wilson said that she loves “The Hunger Games,” and the interviewer asked Wilson if audiences could expect her to pop up in one of the sequels. “Um, seriously, I have had a meeting about being in 'The Hunger Games.' Yes,” Wilson replied. Though no specific part had been discussed, Wilson said that she would probably play someone from the Capitol, adding coyly, “That's all I'll say.” The Capitol would certainly suit Wilson, where her innate wackiness would fit in well with the city's flashy, image-obsessed residents. “There aren't a lot of roles open, because they've all already been cast, but that would be awesome,” she said. “I'd love to be in 'The Hunger Games.'” Shooting is already underway for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” which is due out in November, so Wilson's best shot at a role in the series would come in the two-part finale, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.” She would round out an already all-star cast that includes returning players Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, and Elizabeth Banks, as well as newcomers Jena Malone and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Here's hoping this is one casting rumor that comes true. [via BuzzFeed h/t HuffPost Entertainment] RELATED: Rebel Wilson, 'Pitch Perfect' Star, On Singing, 'Bridesmaids,' and Lingerie
