Emma Watson in '50 Shades of Grey': Star Debunks Casting Rumor in Adorable Fashion

Emma Watson has had a pretty strong career, post-"Harry Potter." She appeared in last year's critical darling "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," has a role in Darren Aronofsky's biblical epic "Noah," and has been tangentially tied to both Guillermo del Toro's forthcoming "Beauty and the Beast" and Disney's updated "Cinderella" (she eventually withdrew from the latter). However, one project the young actress will definitely not be a part of, is a big screen adaptation of porn smash "50 Shades of Grey." Watson took to Twitter to dispel all rumors of her involvement in the most adorable way possible. In a series of tweets, Watson asked, "Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life." This was followed up by a tweet that read, simply, "?" and then "Good. Well that's sorted then." And finally: a smiley face. Sorry, perverts, looks like she's not actually attached. While rumors swirled (and were just as quickly shot down) last summer, the most recent round of speculation was kicked off after hacker group Anonymous posted documents reportedly stolen from German film studio Constanin that had the actress' name on a list of potential stars for the adaptation of E.L. James' phenomenally popular novel. While this holds about as much weight as the cast for "The Avengers" I scribbled when I was eight years old, it apparently was enough to get people talking -- and for the star to respond. A release date for the adaptation, co-financed and distributed by Universal and Focus Features, was initially penciled in for the summer of 2014, however no director has been assigned and, as we can tell, no cast has been tied to the project (pun very much intended).
