TotalFilm.com asked a host of A-listers at recent junkets about joining "Star Wars: Episode VII," and they were all surprisingly game -- well, almost all of them. Rachel Weisz weighed in on the upcoming sequel during her "Oz the Great and Powerful" press tour and copped to being a huge J.J. Abrams fan. Her co-star Mila Kunis had more to say on the matter, though, specifically on the "Star Wars" versus "Star Trek" debate. "I respect 'Star Wars,' I'm a bit of a sci-fi nerd, but if [given the choice], I'd choose 'Star Trek.' 'The Next Generation,' to be specific." Well, Uhura does need more friends aboard the Starship. During a press tour for "The Last Exorcism Part II," Eli Roth let his nerd flag fly with some deep cut dreams that might be over the head of garden-variety "Star Wars" fans. His tastes run towards characters like Greedo, though, so there's that. Maybe he could recruit Kunis? However, this video is noteworthy for who wouldn't want to be in the next "Star Wars." Jason Statham admitted that he's not that big a fan of the genre. "I do prefer sort of true stories and action films and stuff that I'm involved with. Sci-fi's very popular, I understand that, but it's not my first choice when I go to the cinema," adding that if a role came up he'd have to see "what that silly role may be. I would guess it's probably something stupid and it would be the usual answer." Is that a sheepish look on your handsome mug, Jason? Mark Wahlberg wasn't too into the idea either, although he does reveal that Abrams asked him to play Captain Kirk's father in "Star Trek." "I tried to read the script… I couldn't understand the words in the dialogue or anything," but admitted that he wouldn't say no to Abrams in the future -- even if the script didn't make sense to him. Stanley Tucci dryly joked during the junket for "Jack the Giant Slayer" that the original “Star Wars” movies "weren't very successful to begin with, so why would I want to be a part of that?" As his co-star Ewan McGregor, who played Obi-Wan Kenobi, cracked up next to him, they both agreed they would do the next "Star Wars" in a heartbeat. "I'd rather I did it than someone else!" said McGregor, before noting the difficulties of bringing his character back into the fold. Melissa McCarthy told TotalFilm, "I could kill that Chewbacca [role] if you just give me a shot," promising a performance with "more heart and grit." But would she star in a Christmas special?
