The "Kick-Ass 2" trailer basically confirms that real-life teenage superheroes are cooler than anyone you've ever read about in a comic book. Hit-Girl is feistier and more foul-mouthed than ever, Kick-Ass is buffer and more street savvy, and there are asses being kicked left and right.
It's OK, you can squeal with excitement.
"Kick-Ass" tells the story of an average teenager -- and comic book fan -- turned superhero. Jeff Wadlow's sequel to the 2010 comic book adaptation brings back all of your favorite bad-ass characters, including, obviously, Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor Johnson), Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz), and Red Storm (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) -- who is more evil than ever -- and introduces Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes.
Watch the trailer above, and catch "Kick-Ass 2" in theaters on August 16.
