Disney/Pixar's Scottish adventure "Brave" won the Academy Award for best animated feature film.
The other nominees were Disney's other film (and the expected favorite) "Wreck-It Ralph," Tim Burton's "Frankenweenie," the Laika-produced "ParaNorman," and the stop-motion "The Pirates! Band of Misfits."
Co-director Brenda Chapman is the first woman to take home a Best Animated Feature Oscar.
Pixar's other animated features to win the category are "Finding Nemo" (2003), "The Incredibles" (2004), "Ratatouille" (2007), "Wall-E" (2008), "Up" (2009) and "Toy Story 3" (2010).
