Julianne Hough may be primarily known for dancing and singing, but she's about to take on a new role: that of dramatic actor.
In "Safe Haven," Hough stars as Katie, a woman who settles down in a small town in North Carolina. After meeting Alex (Josh Duhamel), a widower, she's soon forced to confront a dark past she's running away from.
Of course, this film is also filled with plenty of cute moments, too, like the one you can see in the clip above. Here, Katie encounters a kid running the cash register at a local convenient store. Not surprisingly, this child is full of wisdom, and even gives Katie a few tips on painting her house.
You can check out the exclusive clip above. "Safe Haven," an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel, is being directed by Lasse Hallström. It's set to hit theaters on February 14.
