Moviefone's New Release Pick of the Week
"Pina" (Criterion Collection)
What's It About? Director Wim Wenders ("Paris, Texas," "Wings of Desire") tells the story of Pina Bausch, an acclaimed German dance choreographer and instructor who passed away just days before the start of the planned documentary; Wenders films her most celebrated works on the streets of Germany and on a stage filled with waterfalls, sand and the wild elements of earth. And he shot it all in 3D.
See It Because: "Pina" eschews the characteristics of a regular documentary and being able to witness her creativity in action -- with genuinely hypnotic 3D technology -- is the best tribute possible to a unique artistic identity. Lastly, It's a German 3D dance film. If you're not at least enticed on a visual level, we're not sure what to tell you.
New on DVD & Blu-ray
"Death Race 3: Inferno"
What's It About? As long as you keep paying for these, they'll keep making them.
See It or Skip It: Skip it.
"End of Watch"
What's It About? A found-footage tale of two LAPD officers who are pursued by the Mexican cartel, after the duo confiscates money, drugs and weapons from a house in Los Angeles; the film's greatness lies in the strong performances of Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena. Both actors spent months riding around with LAPD officers to prepare for the roles, and it definitely shows.
See It or Skip It: See it.

"For a Good Time, Call..."
What's It About? Odd couple roommates (including "Glee's" Ari Graynor) have to set up a phone sex line to pay the bills; some of the sex humor is funny, other parts are groan worthy. It's not worth the indie hype it got, but it's not bad either.
See It or Skip It: See it because why not?
"Nature Calls"
What's It About? Patton Oswalt and Johnny Knoxville star in a outdoors camping comedy that tries to invoke the spirit of something like "Meatballs," but fails. Completely.
See It or Skip It: Skip it.
"The Paperboy"
What's It About? This is that '60s-set Southern noir that's only famous for the one scene where Nicole Kidman urinates on Zac Efron.
See It or Skip It: Skip it.

"Searching for Sugar Man"
What's It About? The Oscar-nominated documentary looks at Rodriguez, a politically-minded folk singer who never made an impact in the US, but had a profound effect on young people fighting against apartheid in South Africa; the movie is an emotional investigation into whatever happened to the man, and if he's even still alive.
See It or Skip It: See it.
