Bundle up, kids! It's time once again for the Sundance Film Festival. For the uninitiated, Sundance takes place up in the mountains of Utah (Park City, to be exact) every year. The festival is put together each January by the Sundance Institute, an organization founded by actor Robert Redford that promotes independent storytelling from around the world. Throughout the 10-day event, up-and-coming directors and screenwriters get a chance to showcase their newest projects to attendees.
This brings us to the 2013 slate, which features a wide mix of films, from Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut, to Daniel Radcliffe's turn as Allen Ginsberg. Rest assured, there are tons of flicks on the docket this year that you will likely want to keep an eye on in the coming months. After all, you never know when one of these movies will find there way onto the awards circuit, like the Oscar-nominated "Beasts of the Southern Wild" did this year (the film premiered at the 2012 Sundance Festival).
With all that in mind, here is a quick list of 15 movies that you should keep on your radar over the next 12 months. And make sure to stay tuned to Moviefone this week for reviews, interviews and premiere galleries, live from Park City, UT.
The 2013 Sundance Film Festival takes place from January 17 - January 27
