Friday sees the release of the ambitious "Cloud Atlas."
Adapted from David Mitchell's ambitious novel, sci-fi vets Andy and Lana Wachowski ("The Matrix"), along with Tom Tykwer ("Run Lola Run") were charged with bringing the story to the silver screen. The starstudded cast -- Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Jim Sturgess, and Susan Sarandon -- all do double duty (hexa-duty?) as they play out six story lines, which span time and space.
"Cloud Atlas" was said to be "unfilmable" so now that it jumped over the centuries-spanning hurdle and made it to the big screen, how are the critics responding? Take a look at our round-up below!
