Moviefone's New Release Pick of the Week
"Moonrise Kingdom"
What's It About? Two star-crossed tweens (Kara Hayward, Jared Gilman) run away together, while their New England town bands together to try and find them.
See It Because: Wes Anderson's ode to young love plays to his sense of impossible whimsy. Featuring some old friends -- Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman -- and new faces, "Moonrise Kingdom" is everything you could ever want out of an Anderson flick, while also managing to do the impossible: tell a realistic story of what it's like to be a kid in love.

"Avatar 3D" Limited Edition
What's It About? James Cameron's ecological parable about an alien planet gets the 3D Blu-ray treatment.
See It Because: Isn't this why 3D home entertainment was invented in the first place?

"Airborne"
What's It About? Mark Hamill stars in a direct-to-DVD horror thriller about passengers mysteriously vanishing off a plane caught in the middle of a storm. Luke Skywalker deserves so much better.
See It or Skip It: Skip it.

"The Cup"
What's It About? The true story of Damien Oliver, the jockey who won Australia's biggest horse-racing competition after both his father and older brother were killed in the sport is chronicled in an inspirational family film.
See It or Skip It: See it, if you're a sucker for sports movies.

"Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted"
What's It About? The crew of animals want to go back to the Central Park Zoo, but they're trapped hiding out in a traveling circus, touring the European countryside. Extra credit goes to the threequel's screenwriter Noah Baumbach ("The Squid and the Whale") who gave the story heart beyond the obvious cash-in bid, and allowed the animators to have fun with some genuinely madcap cartoon lunacy.
See It or Skip It: See it.
(Also Available on Amazon Instant Video | Netflix | Redbox Blu-ray & DVD)
"That's My Boy"
What's It About? Adam Sandler tries to regain some edge with a very R-rated comedy about a deadbeat dad, trying to get re-acquainted with his very successful son ("SNL's" Andy Samberg). Instead of relighting the comedic fire that he used to have, it's just everything annoying about Sandler, only with more "f" words.
See It or Skip It: Skip it.
(Also Available on Amazon Instant Video | Netflix | Redbox Blu-ray & DVD)
"2016: Obama's America"
What's It About? It's not a sequel to John Cusack's "2012."
See It or Skip It: Gee, why don't you tell me.
